Net-Zero Northwest: An Economic and Technical Roadmap to 2030 aims to provide decarbonization pathways analysis combined with an employment study to guide actions in the four Northwest states from now until 2030 and put the region on the path to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
The pathways analysis will update the deep decarbonization pathways work the Clean Energy Transition Institute commissioned in the past with Evolved Energy Research: Meeting the Challenge, the first Northwest Deep Decarbonization Pathways study, and the first regional decarbonization pathways study in the United States released June 2019; Montana Climate Solutions Council (2020); Washington 2021 State Energy Strategy (2020); and Oregon Clean Energy Pathways (2021).
BW Research will conduct a jobs analysis similar to what this national applied research firm has produced for New York (2021 Jobs Report for New York State’s Just Transition Working Group) and Massachusetts (Massachusetts Clean Energy and Climate Plan for 2025 and 2030). BW Research is also the firm that has produced the U.S. Energy and Employment Jobs Report (USEER) since 2016.
