The Oregon Department of Energy (ODOE) selected CETI in a competitive process to provide technical support for an engagement-driven approach to develop the Oregon Energy Strategy (OES). As directed by HB 3630, the strategy identifies pathways to achieve the state’s energy and climate policy objectives, presenting policy recommendations that reflect significant input from Oregonians who participated in a robust engagement process. It also includes analysis of the benefits and challenges of pursuing different decarbonization strategies.
Starting in April 2024, CETI worked with Jeremy Hargreaves of Evolved Energy Research, Elaine Hart of Sylvan Energy Analytics, Angela Long of Rockcress Consulting, Mitch Schirch, Sophia Chryssanthacopoulos, and Phil Jordan of BW Research, and the ODOE team to produce the energy modeling as well as the energy wallet, employment study, and additional complementary analyses that underpin the strategy.
