
Sabine Blumenthal
Research Intern
Sabine Blumenthal joined the CETI team in August 2025 as aResearch Intern. Sabine graduated from Colorado College in 2024 with a B.A. in Environmental Science and a minor in Anthropology. Shecompleted her senior thesis on the spatial distribution of prairie grasses in aColorado desert ecosystem, exploring how species' self-organization patternsimpact the landscape's resilience to climate change.
Sabine is passionate about environmental education, specifically building community and stewardship practices among children through nature-based education modules. In the future, she hopes to pursue a Master of Teaching degree.
Previously, Sabine interned with the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust (Seattle, WA), served on several trail crews across Washington State, and taught at Thorne Nature Preschool (Boulder, CO). Each of these experiences influenced her appreciation for the outdoors and inspired her to pursue a career in the environmental field.
Since graduating, Sabine has worked for Colorado College's Environmental Department as a teaching assistant, rescued a one-year-old miniature lab named Annie, and earned her FAA Drone Pilot's License, which she has used to conduct ecosystem analyses for classes and student research.
Sabine is thrilled to join the CETI team -. She is excited to explore how data and research can be effectively communicated to impact policy and support an equitable clean energy transition. In addition, she is eager to continue practicing her data visualization skills through GIS, Tableau, and Python.
