Angela Long is the Founder & CEO of Rockcress Consulting, LLC, a clean energy consulting firm with a vision to offer tailored innovative solutions to our clients’ most complex and pressing challenges through strategic planning, forward-thinking research, creative technical writing, holistic engagement, and collaborative project management. She has over 15 years as a senior leader in the clean energy industry in the consulting, utility, and public sectors. Her experience includes leading multiple distributed energy resource (DER) and electrification potential studies, leading DER analysis and community engagement and facilitation within Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) and Clean Energy Plan (CEP) and envisioning and leading Distribution System Plans (DSPs). Additionally, she has led near-term and long-term DER strategies (e.g., virtual power plants, non-wire solutions), DER planning and implementation (e.g., locational forecasting, cost-effectiveness, and equity metrics). She frequently serves as a subject matter expert for DER and energy equity-related topics to industry partners, stakeholders, policy makers, regulators, and communities.
