Eileen and Jeremy Hargreaves of Evolved Energy Research presented on state and regional pathways to carbon neutrality at the opening plenary of the Intermountain West Energy Sustainability & Transitions (I-WEST) Workshop, hosted by Montana State University, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and the U.S. Department of Energy.

Eileen presented to the members of the Mirabella Retirement Community, describing the imperative to act on climate and what can be done to reduce carbon emissions, describing decarbonization efforts in the Northwest.

Eileen briefed members of the Mason County, WA League of Women Voters Climate Change Committee on various issues related to decarbonization for rural communities.

Eileen was a panelist at this conference for architects and engineers that explored the equity and social justice impacts of transitioning to clean energy source, materials, and processes.

This presentation on decarbonizing the Northwest was delivered as part of the Western Washington University Institute for Energy Studies’ Speaker Series.

Eileen was asked by the Environmental Protection Agency Region 10’s staff to present the Institute’s deep decarbonization pathways research in Washington, Montana, and Oregon.
