Founded in 2018, the Clean Energy Transition Institute (CETI) is an independent, nonpartisan research and analysis nonprofit organization working to accelerate an equitable clean energy transition in the Northwest. Our mission is to decarbonize the Northwest economy equitably at the speed and scale that climate science requires.
CETI provides independent, unbiased research and analytics on low-carbon pathways tailored to the Northwest region’s unique characteristics; offers an information clearinghouse for decarbonization solutions and technologies; and convenes stakeholders to debate the trade-offs inherent in shifting to a clean energy economy.
The CETI community is comprised of committed, compassionate, and collaborative people with decades of experience working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Over the past seven years, CETI has become a trusted source for independent analysis of how to transform theNorthwest to a clean energy economy.
Core to CETI’s approach is our ability to demystify complex technical decarbonization solutions for the stakeholders who will play critical roles in ensuring the region achieves its emissions targets. We translate quantitative and qualitative research into concrete actions, using web, print, and video communication tools to explain how the clean energy transition can unfold in the Northwest.
As a CETI team member, you would work with and report directly to the Communications Manager to play an important role to help us accelerate an equitable clean energy transition in the Northwest. In our small group, we make decisions rapidly, and entrepreneurial zeal is highly valued. If you want to be part of leading the transition to a clean energy economy in the Northwest, then CETI may be the place for you.
