Founded in 2018, the Clean Energy Transition Institute (CETI) is an independent, nonpartisan nonprofit organization working to accelerate the transition to a clean energy economy in the Northwest by advancing deep decarbonization strategies. About the Position

As the CETI’s part-time Digital Communications Specialist, you would own all communications and digital channels of the Institute – including website content management, email campaigns, list management, and database management. In addition to developing and driving the Institute’s digital communication strategy, some of the duties of this position would include, but are not limited to:

Digital Asset Management: 40%

  • Develop and execute CETI’s digital communications strategy by leveraging the Institute’s publications, reports, and presentations with various digital communication outlets
  • Manage the Institute’s website, including regular QC and bug fixes as needed
  • Manage the Institute’s image database; search for public domain images; size for different uses in communications materials
  • Help team keep all files current and organized on Dropbox

CRM, Email Campaigns, & Digital Marketing: 30%

  • Create and send email campaigns to the Institute’s list
  • Manage and update the Institute’s master list with donor and constituent information, including list segmentation
  • Maintain CETI’s Digital KPI Dashboard with metrics from across digital platforms
  • Prepare digital analytics reports
  • Manage CETI’s social media accounts

IT Support: 30%

  • Serve as the primary Admin for Microsoft Office 365, Dropbox, Zoom, and Google Workspace Nonprofit.
  • Provide IT support for virtual and in-person (when safe) meetings, events, and convenings
  • Provide general ongoing IT support for the Institute’s Team and Board.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with strong organizational and administrative skills, as well as excellent oral and written communications skills. Successful candidates will be exceptionally well-organized and capable of multitasking and taking the initiative. Skills we seek include:

  • Mission-orientation, with an interest in addressing the climate crisis and working at a nonprofit organization
  • Working knowledge of Webflow; HTML/CSS a plus
  • Working knowledge of Mailchimp
  • Experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Skill quickly troubleshooting IT problems as they arise
  • Willingness to contribute in a variety of ways, even if outside formal responsibilities, and to do what it takes to get the job done well
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and ability to generate and complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in information technology, communications, public relations, business, or a related field.

Successful candidates will also have strong computer skills, with demonstrated competency in:

  • Microsoft Office 365, including SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams
  • Google Workspace Nonprofit
  • Google Ads
  • Dropbox; Google Drive
  • Zoom and Teams
  • InDesign, photo sizing, and other report production skills a plus


This is a part-time position. Hourly rate to be negotiated with the successful candidate based on experience.
